This week we are joined from the 2019 Vail Dance Festival this past summer, by Christopher Grant, New York City Ballet dancer. Christopher was born in Jamaica, Queens. He began his dance training at the School of American Ballet (SAB) in 2002. In August 2015, he became an apprentice with NYCB and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in August 2016. We talk with Chris about his training, the struggles of moving from student life to company life, how he hopes that he can set an example for students coming through the school, and his second year at the Vail Dance Festival.
This episode is brought to you by Yumiko and The Town of Vail.

As the mother of a 17-year-old dancer trying to to figure out his next steps, this was really helpful and encouraging. Thank you.
So happy to hear that Erika! Starting next week we will have a series on higher education dance programs as well. So we hope that you will also find that content helpful! All our best.
